What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is the use of water to increase bodily fluid circulation by promoting blood flow and lymphatic drainage. The lymphatic system moves waste products created by fighting disease, rebuilding tissue and eliminating toxins out of cells and ultimately out of the body.  Hydrotherapy is also known to stimulate the autonomic nervous system by placing the body in a parasympathetic state, which improves digestion, decrease pain, reduces inflammation, and helps to boost the immune system.

There are many variations of water therapy that can be applied to address various conditions  such  as:

  • Digestive Concerns (IBS, Constipation, Dysbiosis, Abdominal Pain, Bloating)
  • Endocrinological Disorders (Menstrual Cramps, Hormonal Imbalances)
  • Respiratory Issues (Sinusitis, Allergies, Congestion)
  • Migraines, Headaches, Stress
  • Cardiovascular Disorders (Blood Pressure Regulation)
  • Musculoskeletal Issues (Sprains, Strains, Arthritis)

Hydrotherapy increases the vital force; and therefore can sometimes resolve disorders in which other solutions failed.

Constitutional Hydrotherapy:  Utilizes hot and cold water in an alternating fashion to increase blood flow and stimulate an artificial fever.   In return, the fever will assist your body in the healing mechanism designed by nature.   This therapy is by far the most effective therapy for stimulating the immune system and achieving total body detoxification.

Water is cleansing, inside and out!

     Why Hydrotherapy?

  • Remove Stagnation:  When illness is present, pain increases and the body's ability to fight disease declines.  During treatment, the application of water is used to break up congestion in your system and get bodily fluids moving freely again.
  • Decrease Inflammation: Hydrotherapy will stimulate white blood cell production and decrease inflammatory markers in the body.
